Anti-Aging

Aging is an inevitable reality of life that every living individual has to go through. Genetics, lifestyle, dietary, and environmental factors contribute to our skin’s aging as we age. Skin aging has three types. Intrinsic aging begins in our mid-20s. Collagen production slows, and elastin reduces skin elasticity. Skin with less fat looks more aged, wrinkled, and fragile. Extrinsic aging is caused by external factors like smoking, diet, lack of sleep, sun exposure, and frowning. Sun damage causes photo aging, the most common form of skin aging. It is common in areas with the highest UV exposure, such as the face, chest, arms, hands, and legs. This cycle, facial movements, and sun exposure can accelerate skin aging. Freckles, age spots, hyper pigmentation, thinning and sagging skin, wrinkles, and freckles are all signs of aging.

CUTERA offers advanced solutions that can slow the signs of ageing and keep you looking your best. Our treatments can create tight, voluminous skin, clear pigmentation, reduce wrinkles, restore volume, and rehydrate the skin. Every skin is different, requiring a different strategy to achieve results. Our practitioners can formulate a personalized plan to address your aging concerns and achieve results.

Every person’s face ages differently, but there are telltale signs that facial skin is losing some of its firmness and elasticity. “A youthful face has certain characteristics,” explains Boahene, “including a defined neck and jawline, firm skin, high brows, short eyelids and an egg-like shape.”

Rejuvenation

Aging usually starts in the eyelids and around the eyes. The skin around the eyes is the thinnest in the face. As you age, you may notice dark circles and under-eye hollows, resulting in eyes that look sunken. Some people also develop puffiness beneath the eyes, drooping or excess eyelid skin or fine wrinkles at the corners of the eyes (crow’s feet).
